"Awesome experience"I had so much fun, but make sure and come hungry! The decor is enchanting and reminded a lot of Morocco. The food is Americanized Moroccan food, but very good. I especially loved the shrimp scampi and the bread. The belly dancers were awesome and got my husband up to dance with them and we all had a good laugh. Make sure you make reservations, several people walked in and had to be turned away. Well worth the price for the fixed menu. "Great place, one of our favorites"Anyone who gives this place a bad review or complains about the service are ridiculous. First off, this is a five course meal and a party of 22 is huge for this place. It is very intimate, and it is more of a dinner and a show, if you are looking for fast service there are plenty of buffets on the strip. The waiter first washes your hands in rose water, they bring the bread with a dipping sauce, followed by a shrimp appetizer, and lamb skewers, the main course is cornish hen, and dessert is an apple dish yum! This is all for around $35 with reasonable wine $$, how can you complain. I ate recently at the Spice Market buffet and paid around $56 for lunch and the food was just ok, half the items I passed over after one bite. This is a great place for couples, my wife and I try to go atleast 2-3 times a year, and it is always a great time. I have eaten at the best of the best, and for the money this is one of the best values in Las Vegas, give it a try and see for yourself. "Girls Night Out – Incredible experience!"I have on many occasions wanted to write this much deserving review on Marrakech. First I would like to say it was an honor to eat at this restaurant! I was a little sceptacle to pick this restaurant at first not knowing what to expect and knowing the ten ladies I had invited to join me were very particular. Walking into the place felt as if you were truly in a different country and it had such a wonderful atmosphere. Each and every course was absolutely scrumptous – different from any restaurant that I have ever been to. The service was exceptional, the one owner was actually our server – how much more hands on can you get! The dancers were truly beautiful to watch as they encouraged us to dance, and dance we did! From the Jersey Girls to all of you that read this review, we have all been to many restaurants but his place is truly an experience and this will definitely be on my stop list when I come into Las Vegas again! To Sharief, and family, you were an absolute unexpected delight!! "Our Annual Christmas – New Years Place"Morroco may not bring to mind Christmas, but between Christmas and New Years, our family of eight celebrates with the staff at the Marrakech. It is a fabulous atmosphere that our little kids love, in large part due to the owner and staff loving to see the kids enjoy a unique meal. The belly dancers liven up the place and always give our daughters a chance to shake it. In short, the Marrakech should be on anyone's "must list" for Las Vegas. "While on a trip to Las Vegas with a group of friends, we were tired of the same old buffets at the big hotels and wanted to try something different. We saw an ad for Marrakech in the local paper and decided to give it a try. Boy, were we suprised. I felt like I was entering a set in one of the James Bond movies. We were greeted at the front door and made to feel like we were guest in the middle of the desert and were going to be entered in what appeared to be a large tent filled with all kinds of oriental furnishings . It only got better from there. We had drinks of our choice and were entertained with two beautiful dancers before having our meal. It was much more exotic than the name "Belly Dancers" implies. These women could have been on America's Best Entertainers. We sat on cushions on the floor and had a delicious meal with great service. I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in Vegas." "Marrakech is the type of place that I always bring my out of town friends. Fantastic atmosphere and excellent food." "We were a varied group of 40 or so supporters of the Arts (mostly stuffy business owners, bankers and spouses) on our annual Vegas trip. A newbie to our group had been to the Marrakech 20 years earlier and made an open invitation to all, 'saying the more the merrier'... insisting we would have fun. 18 decided to take her up on her offer and the other 22 wish they had. We had a wonderful meal... the entertainment was excellent and what a delight to be treated as an honored guest with the rituals of middle eastern table fellowship. We will go back. We highly recommend The Marrakech to anyone who wants an unique first class dining experience." "Marrakech is one of the best restaurants in Vegas. When you walk in it's like you're walking into an Arabian tent. The food is also some of the best I've ever had. Everyone is served the same 6-course meal, shrimp scampi, soup and bread, humus and vegetables, beef kabobs, couscous and cournish hen and a pastry dessert, it's more food than you can really eat. I always take my family here when they come to visit, besides the fact that there are real bellydancers that dance for the customers." "A dining experience!"Even though I ate here back in 2003, which was the last time I was in Vegas, the dining experience still remains in memory. It's for good reason that it does. It had to have been one of the very best dining experiences I have ever had! Although I am a proper cook and have tried many places and foods as well, this was top shelf! While it's not 100% Moroccan, it really doesn't matter. It's close enough at 90%! Everything was fabulous! From the second one walks in you are transported to a different place and time with the décor including the seating, (Moroccan style low chairs and pillows with low tables all under a tent with Moroccan lamps about). To really add to the atmosphere they had music playing that was to die for! The minute I sat down I felt like I had come home and I'm not of the region! |
